Our Story
The Sunflower is an independent coffee shop in Scarborough — the kind of place where the staff remember your order, the pastries are baked fresh each morning, and the coffee comes from roasters we actually know by name. We opened because we wanted to drink somewhere properly good, and couldn't find one. So we built our own.
What we're about
Good coffee, honest food, and a warm welcome. We work with small local suppliers, bake our cakes in-house, and make sure there's always somewhere cosy to sit and catch up. Come in for a quick flat white, stay for brunch with friends, or take a box of pastries home for the weekend.
Locally Roasted
Our beans come from independent UK roasters. We change the house blend seasonally so there's always something new to try.
Fresh Every Morning
Pastries, scones, cakes and sourdough — all baked in-house before we open. If we sell out, we sell out.
Dog & Kid Friendly
Water bowls outside, high chairs inside, and a rainy-day colouring corner. Everyone welcome.
